DAY 1 Flight to Istanbul
Arrival at Istanbul Atatürk Airport. Meet by PAKERO TRAVEL representative and transfer to the hotel. Welcome meeting, Dinner at the hotel at Taksim Square, the center of new town. (D)
DAY 2 Full Day Istanbul City Tour
Tour of “Sultan Ahmet Center”, the heart of the “Old City” from where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled.
Start your day in Hippodrome, the center of sportive (chariot races, athletics) events and political activities of the city in Roman and Byzantium periods. See the Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column and German Fountain of Wilhelm II. Newt enter the Turkish Islamic Arts Muesum, which is located in the 16th. Century palace of Ibrahim Pasha. Displays include the oldest handycrafts, textile works, tiles, manuscripts, carved Koran case, and calligraphy. Walk to Blue Mosque, facing St. Sophia, famous with its blue Iznik tiles and unique with 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet 1609-1616. Have a short walk to Cistern Basilica, built by Emperor Justinian as a part of elaborate water system of the city. The largest underground cistern having a forest of columns of total 336. Today the cistern is a distinctive attraction of Istanbul.
Visit St. Sophia, one of the greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as basilica in the 6th century AD by Emperor Justinian. Lunch in a local restaurant. Walk to Topkapi Palace, beautifully decorated gardens and impressive building complex used to be imperial residence of Ottoman Sultans exhibiting imperial treasury, Chinese porcelain, weapons, calligraphy, holy relics section today, Stroll through Grand Covered Bazaar, the authentic experience in a competitive souk. DAY 3 Full Day Istanbul City Tour
Drive around the old city walls, the great defense system, still standing after the course of centuries.
Chora Museum, a small church that holds the most beautiful mosaic pavements on its walls dating back to 1324. Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar), mystical smells of different aromas of various spices, shops selling fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish etc. Bosporus Cruise, through the waterway separating the two continents, Asia and Europe, with a possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residential and luxurious apartments. Lunch in a local sea food restaurant. Dolmabahce Palace, the last residence for Ottoman Sultans with 365 rooms and 22 saloons. Famous with the great collection of European antiquity, furniture and 4,5 tons chandelier. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Istanbul. (B, L, D)
DAY 4 Istanbul – Kayseri – Cappadocia
Departure in the morning. Flight to Kayseri by TK260 at 08:55. We now journey into Cappadocia, where the sights of the Fairy Chimneys are phenomenal, especially when seen for the first time. The natural wonder of Cappadocia is a result of volcanic deposits being eroded away by wind and water over millions of years. These soft rocks were hollowed out by early Christians and used as secret dwellings as they were being sought first by their Roman and later by their Byzantine persecutors. Visit the rock formation of natural citadel of Uchisar. After lunch we will visit the Valleys of Göreme Open Air Museum to explore the unusual troglodyte dwellings, remains of early churches, some decorated with scratched frescoes and complicated rooms hollowed out of the cones of volcanic ash.

DAY 5 Full Day Tour in Cappadocia
Drive to Kaymaklı underground city where you will walk down to 4 stories underground and see a completely different life style experienced during the invasions back in the history. Visit a local handicraft center to see the demonstration on the process of making hand made Turkish carpets, the most beautiful and rich collection. Time will be allocated for shopping. Lunch in a local restaurant. Visit Zelve Open Air Museum, an abounded village that both Muslim and Ortodox Christians used to live together through deep valleys of tuff layer, amazing rock formations shaped by both nature and people of the region. Stop for a short walk and take as many as pictures in Pashabag where you will see the best type of formations called as “fairy chimney”.
Tonight you can join to optional activity to watch the live performance of Whirling Dervishes, a mystic and liturgics performance rooted to the teachings of 13th century philosopher Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (B, L, D)
DAY 6 Full Day Tour in Cappadocia
Today you can wake up early to join optional activity Hot Air Balloon riding before breakfast, the best way to see lunar landscape of region. Unforgettable experience with the fascinating beauty of Cappadocia.
Take a short hike in Red Valley, you will be astonished by the view of the gorgeous rock formations in the tones of red. Drive to Mustafa Pasha (Sinasos) an authentic tour of lovely village with a couple of hundred years old original stone buildings. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Take the last drive around Cappadocia to Pigeon Valley where local people built small dwellings at the cliff side to house them to collect their drops to use as fertilizer on their fields.

Day 7 Flight Back to Home
After all unforgettable memories of both Istanbul and Cappadocia today is last day to return to home. Drive to Kayseri Airport and take connected flight to Scandinavia via Istanbul.
